I'm exploring some interface ideas for Misago's interface, but those only work when categories are limited to two levels, eg. category and subcategory. So I'm curious how many of you guys forums go deeper than two levels with their categories.

I'm using sub-sub categories currently, but that was not my choice. It can easily be transformed into two levels. It can make it a lot simpler to navigate.
Yeah, if I'll roll in the two levels limit, I'll be able to do nav like this:
Or one like this:
Without having to deal with issues like "how to deal with .nth level of depth items?" Currently, I'm thinking about not limiting depth of categories tree, so if you need more levels you'll be able to make them, but the top two will have best discoverability due to how they are being exposed in UI.
Ok, latest idea is three levels of nesting, so you may do "Customizing" -> "Themes" -> "Releases" or "Starcraft 2" -> "Heart of the Swarm" -> "Campaign".
That way category and subcategory will be displayed in sidenav, with sub-sub category being handled like how labels were treated in Misago 0.5, and will be included as extra bottom level for fine graining.
