I'm running behind apache reverse proxy (can't use nginx, company policy :/ ) and using gunicorn as application server (uwsgi + apache proved troublesome...). Headers between apache and gunicorn look reasonable:

(Scheme might be missing, but would this throw everything off?)

for now I worked around this by replacing the variables with what I need in the templates, but it would be awesome if we could run unpatched code...

    Any Ideas?

    thanks in advance
