This release brings default theme to Misago, together with redesigned posts, threads and categories lists. This theme lives in the "flavor" directory in Misago styles and defines only decorative stylesheets, thus making it easy to remove and revert Misago back to its "Bootstrap" looks for custom theme development.

It also fixes few bugs, including potential show-stopper on categories list that could result by deletion of last thread in category.

    Updating instructions

To update Misago from 0.6 Alpha 9 to 0.6 Alpha 10, use PIP to uninstall old Misago and install new one:

    pip uninstall misago
    pip install misago --pre

Hot on heels of alpha 10 I'm releasing Alpha 11. This release fixes events always displaying "new event flag".

RafaƂ, Misago is starting to look very very promising :S. I'm looking forward to 0.6!

I'm hoping to quit alphas with next release, and then stick to forever beta, releasing features and deprecations as 0.X + 1 versions form then on.

Is Misago aiming for everyone, like let's say phpBB or rather for a specific group of people? Writing Misago in Python rather than PHP kinda answers my question. I guess :). Do you expect a boom in popularity as a forum solution once Misago matures a bit?

Misago aims to be stable and complete forum solution. That's the goal in nutshell.

I have little in the matter of target audience on mind, but targeting python fans first seems safest bet until community arises around the project and helps out with howtos, answering questions or changes that make deploying simple.

    I respect these objectives :).

The main benefit from a huge community is a lot of extensions, themes and people willing to help you hacking Misago or others with their problems. Let's see what happens. I keep my fingers crossed for your work ;).
