First, thanks for this piece of software, I can see the amount of work involved here

I need to integrate a forum with another django app and would like to modify Misago for this.

I have dived through the codebase of the backend and its great.

But I can't see the changes I make on the front end

After reading the documentation, I found out how to use gulp to re-build the app when changes are made.

But I'm modyfing a django template and the html does not show

Getting inside the docker image, i navigate to the template folder and a cat of that file shows me docker has correctly copied that file with the changes to the html I made

but when I visit the page, the old version still appears

I'm going mad with this :D

I'm trying to customize the navbar

Hey! Here's two things to keep on mind:

    • never modify Misago templates. Copy them to theme/templates/misago and then customize the copies. otherwise you will lose your changes on update.
    • in production templates are loaded once and cached by the application. You need to restart Misago to force new templates to load.

Copy Misago's navbar.html over to theme/templates/misago/navbar.html, customize it, then restart Misago.
