Would it be possible to move a thread, without it triggering an action that puts it to the head of the thread page?

My thinking is....quite often users post in sub-optimal categories. Moderators (me) don't always notice quickly, and stumble across the mis-filing some time later. I am then faced with the dilemma of leaving the thread incorrectly categorised (which I don't want to do) or promoting an old thread to the head of the board (which I don't want to do).

Delete the moderation event message from the end of moderated thread. That will do it.

I hadn't spotted that you can do that. That's brilliant.I am quite stupid.

    Thank you for the help.

I've been doing that frequently, and in future would like to change it so those events don't bump threads, make them appear as unread or are given so much space on thread view.

No you aint, Misago has some very braindead design decisions that survived for years because project scares forum admins from using it, most likely by brain dead decisions and missing features. But I'm slowly fixing it all.

The progress made in recent months is very impressive, and you should be very proud of how it's shaping up.

I feel guilty benefiting so substantially from your hard work, but I hope the testing and feedback at least has some value.

Certainly how misago currently looks feels like a vindication of my decision to use it for my forum. It's something that I can see growing in popularity. The technical stack and feature set is excellent.
