    Hmm, it looks like Misago defaults to a "flat style" now instead of the good old Categories View. I don't seem to be able to find an option in my profile settings to change my preferences here. Mind to add such an option?

    I, personally, find a "flat style" board horrible to use because in most cases 9 out of 10 categories are irrelevant to me, so the flat "what's new" view is not really useful. :)

    Hey,

    There's no user setting for this, only global switch in settings.py.

    Yep, I would like to add option for users to filter off categories they are not interested in, but I can't promise any ETA on it.

    Probably a user setting for the default view would be easier. :-)

    It would actually require to load urls config in middleware, after user has been loaded, and that's something that would complicate integrations and customization. ;)

    Sorry for bumping an old post @rafalp but what do I need to change in settings.py to set the category view as default?

    Hey,

    You'll need to change MISAGO_THREADS_ON_INDEX to False, by adding this line in your settings.py:

    MISAGO_THREADS_ON_INDEX = False

    Thanks, it worked :)
