Two quick questions: (1) are moderators able to remove/delete posts that are considered inappropriate and (2) is there a way for moderators to have access to user emails (e.g., is there a way to link user name with email address) in the case that we would want to send a user an email based on post content? Yes and yes. :)
If you go to your profile page, you will see your e-mail. When moderator goes to your page, they also see your email, but other users don't see other users e-mails.
